who am i?

My name is Dylan C. Jones. I’m an average-level gamer, a house plant enthusiast, a horror movie junkie, but most importantly, and I suppose the reason you might be here, I am a composer. I expend most of my creativity in the form of music for movie trailers, though with all the slamming and deafening walls of sound that this job subjects me to, I like to write my own ambient music that does a better job at relaxing my soul than the constant barrage of ear-bleeding sound effects and french horn melodies.

Cover Final 2k border.jpg

The Seventh Throne (2020)

The Seventh Throne is a horror-tinged ambient odyssey venturing through mind-bending alternate realities. It’s a major diversion from my previous ambient work, and my first album featuring a self-authored short story to accompany the music.

PandaX Art 2k.png

Panda X (2020)

Just a robotic panda superior to all other pandas in strength, stamina, agility, and bravery. He’s ready to protect his brothers from the evils of extinction.

Float_Final 2000.jpg

Float (2017)

If you’re looking to zen out and drift along in the vast oceans of space and sound, look no further! Breathy, atmospheric, fluffy and calming, Float has the ambient moods to carry you away on a cloud of introspection.

Art of War (2020)

Written by the up-and-coming hip hop artist Deraj, and produced in collaboration with X and Y, Art of War is coming in hot with its distorted bass riffs and slammin’ beats. It’s a trailerblazing EP like no other!

DS69 OST Cover 2000.jpg

Deep Space 69 OST (2018)

Hot ‘n sweaty 80s synth action! Deep Space 69 is a VRV exclusive cartoon featuring a crew of misfits who are destined for great challenges that they are all but prepared to face. This soundtrack features numerous cues I wrote for the show that have been reimagined into full-length synthwaves tunes!

Cycle_Cover_2k.jpg

Cycle (2016)

An auditory commentary on the cyclical nature of searching for love, Cycle was my debut in the ambient space, though I’d argue it’s not like any ambient music I’ve ever heard. Largely collaborative, nearly all of the tracks feature soloists who improvised on top of my atmospheric beds to create truly unique pieces of music.
